Hello, I’m Jeannie

I’ve spent my career creating and delivering ambitious business strategies with outstanding marketing and communications at their core, building a deep range of specialisms. I’ve worked at the heart of global multinationals and challenger brands, leaving me with a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities they face.

I now deploy that understanding to help organisations of all sizes transform their marketing landscape. I take a partnership approach to help my clients build and implement ambitious but realistic marketing strategies, from theory to execution, from talent nurturing to demand generation.

I built my career in the UK telecommunications industry with global market leaders Vodafone and Virgin Media, undertaking a wide variety of marketing roles and developing my executive leadership credentials.

Since my telecoms days I’ve held Global Marketing Director positions in the shipping and assurance industries, sitting on executive leadership teams and, with global assurance partner LRQA, optimising the investment potential presented by private equity ownership whilst creating a purpose-driven brand and values.

I’ve built and led best-in-industry global marketing functions, reshaped organisational designs, implemented AI solutions and CRM systems, increased marketing investment, driven double digit year on year lead growth, and achieved company-high scores in employee engagement.

I’ve also lived and worked in Tanzania and China, where I spent several years running an independent brand marketing agency in Beijing. I love working closely with creative agencies and teams, and I understand what it’s like to sit on both sides of the client-agency relationship.

I like learning. I have a first class bachelor’s degree in English Literature from the University of Manchester, and coaching qualifications in rugby union and CrossFit. I’ve also undertaken a wide range of leadership training and development programmes, including an Executive Leaders’ 18 month Mentorship Programme. Right now I’m studying health and nutrition and AI marketing principles.

In my free time I’m head coach for my local CrossFit gym on a voluntary basis. Long, long ago I spent two years as the President of the University of Manchester Athletic Union and one as the vice chair of the British Universities Sports Association. I still apply the principles of leadership, teamwork and consistency from my sporting activities into the workplace.
